Pet First Aid Program

What you will receive:

  • ASHI certificate of completion and student book
  • This program received The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) seal of approval.

What you will learn:

Basic information on caring for dogs and cats including:

  • Approaching an ill or injured animal
  • Rescue breathing
  • CPR
  • Choking
  • Control of bleeding
  • Care of injuries to muscles and bones
  • Heat and cold related emergencies
  • Guidance about when to seek professional veterinary care for pets
  •  and more.

This course is not intended to replace veterinary care.  It focuses on how to save a pet's life in an emergency situation or to minimize a pet's trauma after an injury. 

Always have your pet checked out by your local vet after an emergency. 

Recommended Course Length:

  • Three hours
